To promote the Guru-Shishya Parampara and the Indian art, heritage, culture and enlighten art students with more knowledge and trust in the classical dance form, Anupriya Mukherjee had recently organised a Kathak workshop of Shree Dheerendra Tiwari in Dombivli.
To encourage the participants of the workshop and to continue with the practice in future as well, Anupriya is now providing with a platform for performance.
According to Anupriya, “While Dheerendra Tiwari’s workshop inspired the participants to understand and practice diligently compositions that are the characteristic features of Jaipur Gharana, imbibing grace, beauty, power and energy, many renowned artists in the Kalaarpan Festival, will bring the purity of Kathak to the audience.”
Anupriya, a disciple of globally acclaimed Kathak exponent Guru Pt. Rajendra Gangani announced the launch of Kalaarpan Festival to be held on 31st May 2019 at Thane, where along with workshop participants, prominent guests artists Vaishali Dudhe (Mumbai) – Disciple of Dr. Manjiri Deo, Dr. Tina Tambe (Mumbai) – Disciple of Dr. Suchitra Harmalkar & Smt. Uma Dogra, Arunima Sengupta (Kolkata)- Disciple of Smt. Luna Poddar & Pt.Rajendra Gangani, and disciples of Pt. Rajendra Gangani Anupriya Mukherjee (Mumbai), Dheerendra Tiwari (Delhi) and Sanjeet Gangani (Delhi) will mesmerise the audience with their solo Kathak presentations.
Guru Pt. Rajendra Gangani ji will be the Guest of Honour on this occasion.
