Premier Kuchipudi Dance Academy of New Delhi, Natya Tarangini has organinized the three days music and dance festival as part of the Parampara series, from 4th to 6th December at the Kamani auditorium in New Delhi, featuring top performers in both music and dance.
The festival commences with the grand Kuchipudi dance extravaganza by Natya Tarangini Repertory, featuring disciples of the veteran mentors Padma Bhushans Dr Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy on the first day, followed with a mesmerising Hindustani vocal recital by the brilliant vocalist Mahesh Kale. The second day will commence with the captivating Odissi performance by the Srjan Ensemble, disciples of the renowned Odissi mentor, Guru Ratikant Mohapatra, followed with a melodious flute recital by the commendable musician, Rakesh Chaurasia, son and disciple of the legendary flutist, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia.
The finale and the third day of festival will feature the exquisite classical dance style of Kerala, Mohiniattam by Dr Neena Prasad and her disciples and the grand musical classical rendering will be rendered by the Tal Fry group. Musical lovers in and around New Delhi should not miss this scintillating festival of classical music and dance.
Natya Tarangini was established in 1976 by the renowned Kuchipudi exponents and mentors, Dr Raja Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy and the legacy moves forward with their talented daughters, Yamini and Bhavana Reddy. Natya Tarangini conducts classes in New Delhi (Saket), Hyderabad and Los Angeles.
Guru Kaushalya Reddy says “It is carrying on the training under the age old Guru –Shishya Parampara, our endeavour is that students are not only taught the skill but also get an opportunity to get familiar with the process of choreography and participate with their Gurus in various concerts. Underprivileged meritorious and deserving students are taught free of charge. Even physically and mentally challenged are encouraged to take advantage of the institute services. The Parampara series is an initiative to encourage young students to perform and also inviting established performers to perform and showcase their expertise, thereby encouraging and promoting both art and artists”.
