Nritya Varsha, the unique initiative announced by Kathak exponent Dr. Tina Tambe lead Ninad Center for Performing Arts has received overwhelming response as 60 kathak dancers have participated in it.
For Nritya Varsha, Ninad CPA had invited videos of kathak performances on different compositions based on Monsoon Ragas like Megh, Megh Malhar etc. All the videos are shot especially for the participation.
Best five videos selected by esteemed judges will be announced on Sunday 28th June 2020 and will receive a cash prize of Rs 1000/- each along with Best Video certificate. All participants will receive a participation certificate.
A three member jury will select the best five videos. The jury is comprise of esteemed kathak dancer of Raigadh Gharana Dr. Suchitra Harmalkar, famous music and dance critique Ms. Tapati Chowdhurie and renowned kathak exponent Ms. Gauri Diwakar.
Responding to overwhelming response to the Nritya Varsha, Dr. Tina Tambe said, “I am extremely happy that the participants have taken a lot of efforts and have sent beautiful videos which all will definitely enjoy” Videos will be streamed live on facebook pages of ClassicalClaps and Ninad Center for Performing Arts on 26-27-28 June. 20 artists will be featured every day.
