Rachna Hostel

Education has always stood as an irreplaceable pillar in a person’s life, guiding us from the realms of fairy tales and fables to the reality of our own stories. Charanya Gurusathya

In the heartfelt words of a young girl from Rachana Hostel, Panshet, “Sir, we are ready to sleep hungry with a wet cloth on our stomach, but we can’t do without education.” These poignant words inspired an extraordinary initiative by Charanya Gurusathya, Artistic Director of Natyashala Academy of Fine Arts, Pune, along with Rohan Pillai from Sauparnika Arts and Gurusathya Rajasekar, Trustee of NakshathraMeen. Together, they have envisioned a charity show that promises to be a beacon of hope for these girls, ensuring that their dreams of higher education are realized.

This charity event Pranaya Kavyam, a collaborative effort between eight talented singers and twenty-eight gifted dancers, aims to raise funds for the education of the girls at Rachana Hostel. Education is one of the few powerful tools that allow each of us to achieve our dreams, and this event seeks to empower these young girls to become the leaders of tomorrow. The girls of Rachana Hostel have been the guiding light for this event, inspiring the organizers and participants to come together for this noble cause.

The Pranaya Kavyam be a live musical-theatrical spectacle, presenting a tale of love and music, brought to life through film visuals and enhanced by mesmerizing dance performances. The narrative will unfold with live music, featuring a series of film songs choreographed in a vibrant blend of folk, classical, and contemporary dance styles. This grand performance will take place on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, 5 pm at Natsamrat Nilu Phule Sabhagruh, Sangvi, Pune.

The event, organized by renowned singers from Sauparnika Arts, Sangvi, and dancers from Natyashala Academy of Fine Arts, is expected to draw an audience of around 500 people. It will be a ticketed event, with proceeds covering the expenses and, more importantly, supporting the education of these girls, making a profound difference in their lives.

This event not only promises an evening of captivating entertainment but also stands as a testament to the power of art and community in transforming lives through the gift of education.
