A Nationalized socio-culture organisation hosted RHYTHM, an event based on the Indian classical dances. this event was organized on 26 September at CSOI Auditorium, New Delhi.
Anjana Welfare Society has been working for the last 7 years with the determination to promote Indian Art and Culture and specially gifted artists.
This festival featured by many upcoming young artists of Indian classical dances of India. The houseful show started with the Ganesh Vandana performance by specially gifted artists then it was a day of Indian Classical dances.
Kathak dancers Deepak Gangani and Richa Joshi performed technical pieces in Taal Dhamar. While performing Shankar Parvati (bhava paksh) they were a power pack together.
Kabita Mohanty’s group performed ‘Durga Stuti’ depicting Mahishasur Mardana by Goddess Durga. All performers used eyes expressions beautifully.
The last performance was by Amaranath Ghosh from Chennai. Kuchipudi dancer Amarnath performed bhava paksh of Nayika followed by a traditional Kuchipudi dance on a plate. Despite being a male dancer, his expressions part was very expressive. This show was a bouquet of classical dances with spectacular performances.
The event began with Lamp lighting by all the dignitaries. Mr. Mukund Srivastava (Principal Secretory cum PCCF) Government of India, Mr. Amitabh Gautam (Joint Secretory, Ministry of Agriculture), Mrs Shailza Gautam, Mr. Amarendra Khatua (Former DG ICCR & Diplomat) Mr. Abhimanyu Lal, Mrs Vidha Lal (Kathak Exponent & Sangeet Natak Yuva Puruskar awardee), Mrs. Nalini Jain and Ms. Richa Jain were the special guests on this occasion. Anjana welfare Society President Manish Kulshreastha, Secretary Ayush Kulshreastha felicitated the guests.
Renowned classical dancer Maya Kulshreastha, the organiser of this event, said: “Being an artist, I understand that upcoming dancers find it very tough to get a single performing opportunity, so we are trying to give a well-organised platform for upcoming artists with the blessings of senior gurus.”
