Delhi based Anjana Welfare Society, which has been working for Indian Art and culture, is set to organise Rhythm Festival on 2 Sept at India International Center. Artists from all over India will be presenting all 8 styles of Indian Classical Dances in this National Level Dance Festival.
Kathak exponent and Director of Rhythm Festival, Maya K Nigam says “We are creating many good things for upcoming talented artists through this platform for them. As I experienced, it’s very difficult to survive in the classical dance field when you don’t belong to an artist family. We also organize Sur Taal Festival in Delhi for upcoming as well as senior artists.”
Talking about Anjana Welfare Society, Maya said, “Our main is aim to promote our Indian Culture and Indian artists. We started Rhythm from Mathura and planing the fest in many cities. We have many team members in different cities of India so they will help us to organize these type of festivals. We are also looking for more artists in unrepresented cities for an association.”
Rhythm Fest will be graced by Chief Guests Shri Ravinder Pahuja and Dr. Anupam Jagga, Principal – DPS, Bulandshahar & renowned author. Some prominent artists like Alaknanda, Nalini Ravi Jain, Richa Jain, Amit Naithani and Ajit Aswani will also be present.
