Internationally acclaimed Kuchipudi exponents Dr Raja and Radha Reddy have performed in several countries, received critical acclaim and accolades for their scintillating performances. They are also recipient of several national and international awards and honours Both Raja and Radha symbolise the masculine and the feminine spirit, as represented by Lord Shiva and Parvati respectively, hence their performances are a fine combination of both “Purusha” and “Prakriti”, interpreting various stories from the sacred texts like the “Bhagwatham”. At Natya Tarangini, several dance aspirants have taken their training and many of them are professionals today. Daughters of Gurus Raja,Radha and Kaushalya – Yamini and Bhavana take the family legacy forward with innumerable performances and branches in Hyderabad
and the United States of America.

I feel blessed to be among the foremost male disciples, the only male student to be featured in the documentary film “Raja and Radha Reddy” produced by Films Division, Mumbai, along with other female students.

The Kuchipudi performance by several disciples of the great mentors, would also mark a unique way of celebrating the World Dance Day. If you in or around New Delhi, do not miss this exciting performance of young and teenage dancers.
