The 67th Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan,organised by Sur Singar Samsad commences on Monday 18th May at Nanavati college auditorium,Vile Parle (west). The three days festival of classical dances concludes on Wednesday 20th May.

The accomplished classical dancers selected to perform for the prestigious Swami Haridas Sangeet Sammelan are Prof Rahul Dev Mondal,dynamic Bharata Natyam exponent from Kolkata, Odissi by veteran danseuse and mentor Niveditha Mukherjee (Mumbai) and her disciples. Kathak by the ardent disciple of the legendary Kathak exponent Pt Gopi Krishna – Vaibhav Joshi, one of the best Bharata Natyam exponents of the country – Pavitra Bhat, veteran Odissi mentor from Bhubaneshwar Dr Guru Gajendra Panda will enchant the audience with his elegant movements. The only Sattriya dancer to be featured from Guwahati will be Khirud Bhuyan, Gwalior based Kathak exponent Anjana Jha will thrill the audience with the rhythmic footwork in the Kathak style, other bright Kathak dancers would include Surashree Bhattacharya from New Delhi and Ruchi Sharma from Mumbai. The only Kuchipudi exponent to perform along with her selected disciples, will be Guru Radha Mohan.

Secretary MK Patel of Sur Singar Samsad says“With support from the Ministry of Culture and personalities like Bhajan Samrat Pt Anup Jalota, we are able to  organise a festival of  such a magnitude, otherwise with hardly any corporate support, its really difficult”.
