For the first time, Puryai Sanskritik Kala Vikas from Kolkata, founded by Odissi exponent Guru Nanini Chadhury Mohanty, presented their inaugural programme in Mumbai at the Ravindra Natya Mandir as a
tribute to mark the 22nd death anniversary of legendary Odiss mentor, Guru Kelucharana Mohapatra, with dance performances in different classical dance styles like Odissi, Bharata Natyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi
and Mohiniattam by established performers and upcoming dancers too.
It was amazing to watch the enthusiasm of upcoming dancers and the professional expertise of the established performers like Pt Harish Gangani. The programme was held on 10th April.

Senior mentors who graced the occasion were Darshana Jhaveri, Jhelum Paranjape, Rabindra Atibudhi and Pt Harish Gangani. Young dancers who were featured in the festival were Kamna Naik and Aruksha Naik from Jabalpur, Divya Mohanty, Lopamudra Das, Deeptha Biswas Ranjana Saha, Riya Burman, Adesha Singh, Thrylokya Nellula,Adria and Kiyoshi duet, Nayana Prakash for Mohiniattam, Kamal Bandel,Shradha Hardikar,Manjari and Sujata Gavade. Mumbai mentors who were featured with their
students were Madhuri Prathap and Subitha Murali.
Dignitaries paid rich tributes to Kelubabu for his invaluable and outstanding contribution towards the upliftment of Odissi dance on the international platform.
