Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre proudly presents two dance dramas pertaining to emotions of love and loss at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s Studio Theatre on Saturday 7th June. Padmashri Guru Ranjana Gauhar arrives with the Utsav team of dancers with an animated background portraying the story of love and loss- Nal Damayanti with wonderful music,portrayals with the animated backgroud creating a fine spectacle.
Nal Damayanti is the story of a victim who falls to circumstances and temptations. The golden swan plays the cupid between Nal and Damayanti and in the swayamvaram Damayanti chooses Nal as her husband, The marriage is solemnised and everything goes well but on a particular day Nal’s cousin plays a game of dice with Nala and subsequently looses everything. As to how Nala reunites with Damayanti forms the crux of the dance drama which will be presented with the animated background in order to enhance the theatrical impact of the production. Choreographed and directed by Padmashri Guru Ranjana Gauhar.
The lead roles of Nal will be played by Vinod Kevin Bachan and Damayanti will be Vrinda Chadha, the Swan will be enacted by Sudhir Kumar, dancers include Swati Sharma,Archisha Arya,Lavanya Chugh,Urjaswi Dutta,Himesh Prechand and Shrri Ram Kumar. Techncial director is Sandeeo Dutta,
Ravan-Mandodoari Samvaad
SNA awardee Rajashree Shirke and her team of talented dancers from Lasya Academy will present the emotional and thought provoking dance drama Ravan Mandodari Samvaad in the same premises. Inclusive of Vachika abhinaya and powerful dramatization, this soul stirring presentation of the two different personalities, the arrogant and conceited Ravana and his devoted wife Mandodari who repeatedly warns him of his evil actions as she could perceive his doom but he never listens. Rajashree and her team of talented dancers will enact this amazing ermilaofficial.
