New Delhi based Mridangam Vidwan Kesava Perumal Ramamoorthy will lead the Swaralaya musical ensemble along with flutist Bharat Raj Subrahmanyam and Srilakshi Venkataraman on the violin. The programme is entitiled Shivoham and would feature the pancha bhootas, earth, water, fire, air and sky through the musical quality and beauty of three varied instruments, the percussion – mridangam, the stringed instrument – violin and the air isntrument – flute in order to captivate the varied facets of nature with relation to human life and the significance of well being of life and existence, which is possible with the harmonious blend of music, melody,rhythm portraying the basic elemets of life and existence.
The competent trio has already performed in some of the major festivals in India and are a looking forward to their trip overseas. New Delhi’s leading mridangam meastro Guru Kesava says “Music is universal and divine too, hence is instrumental in attracting the attention and captivating audiences worldwide, after last years stupendous success and consistent requests from several music lovers and orgnisations, we look forward to our US tour that would definitely enhance the holistic quality of our Carnatic music, which is not restricted to any caste,creed or country for that matter”.
