Nupuradhwani 2018 Dance Festival commenced in Mumbai

Organised by Nupura Fine Arts Academy a 15 year old organisation in the field of classical dance Nupuradhwani 2018 Dance Festival featured brilliant Kathak and Bharatanatyam performances by Dr. Tina Tambe and Ms. Manjula Manoj respectively.

Festival began with traditional lamp lightning by Shri BR Vikram Kumar, Editor in Chief of The Dance India Magazine and Chief Guest on the occasion along with Ms. Ramya Verma Jagdish, Founder Director of Nupura Fine Arts Academy and other guest Artists.

Students of Nupura presented the Title Song of NUPURADHWANI in Mohiniyattam style. Manjula Manoj beautifully performed Varnam in praise of Goddess Parvati.

Noted Kathak exponent Dr. Tina Tambe presented vibrant kathak which was well appreciated by the audience.

Ramya presented the Varnam in Mohiniyattam. She concluded her recital with famous kriti Maithrim bhajatha for international friendship and world peace.

On this occasion, ‘Nupura Kala Ratna’ title were honoured to Ms. Manjula and Dr. Tina Tambe by Shri Vikram.

Accompanying artists Sri Sivaprasad NN (Vocal ), Krishnan Narayan (Mridangam),  Satish Sheshadi (Violin), Palakkad Parameshwaran (Edakka) and Sri Susheelan (Make up).
