Patel Cultural Foundation and Shree Somnath Trust proudly has organised the Shree Somteerth Sanskrutik Mahotsav, five days festival of classical music and dance at the Temple ground premises from 10th to 14th October of the iconic Somnath Temple in Veraval, Gujarat. This is for the first time that Patel Cultural Foundation has collaborated with Shree Somnath Trust to organise this national festival that attracts the attention of performers from various parts of country. More than 30 classical dancers, vocalists and instrumentalists will participate in this festival. The festival is expected to be inaugurated by District collector N.V. Upadhyay, Sukantkumar Senapati, Vice-Chancellor of Somnath Sanskrit University and DSP Jagdipsingh Jadeja.

The festival commences with the Pakhwaj percussion music performance by Asharam Sable and his group, followed with the Odissi duet performance by Archana Basu and Raakhi, disciple of Guru Debi Basu from Mumbai. Bharata Natyam performance will be rendered by Aparna Krishnakumar, disciple of Guru Harikrishna of the famed Rajarajeswari Bharata Natya Kala Mandir from Mumbai. The evening concludes with a Kuchipudi performance by Nita Acharya and group from Jamnagar, Gujarat and enthralling Kathak performance by Dr Mansi Saxena from Amritsar.
The second day of the festival commences with lyrical Odissi performance by Sarita Panda and Bagmishree, disciple of Guru Gajendra Panda from Bhubaneshwar. Bharata Natyam performance by the dynamic dancer from Bangalore, Darshan Shankar and Kuchipudi duet by Dr Anukula Aditya and Shravika from Vizhagapatanam(AP). Kathak by Aditi Panse and group from Nashik and Ashwini Kalsekar from London. The evening concludes with delightful Violin recital by Gulzar Hussain from Jaipur.
The third day starts with percussion Pakhawaj recital by Pandit Udhav Bapu Apegoankar and group, followed with Odissi performance by Guru Pratibha Jena and Raudri Singh, Roshni Unnikrishnan and Nidhi Kindra from New Delhi. Elegant Mohiniattam performance by accomplished dancers Dr Dimple Nair,(Doha), Sneha Nambiar(Muscat), Unnati Ajmera(Rajkot) and Nayana Prakash(Mumbai). Rhythmic Kathak performance by Ameera Patankar and Avani Gadre from Pune. Concluding with Dhrupad vocal recital Supriyo Maitro from Kolkata.

The second last day of the festival would commence with Flute duet recital by Mehul Prajapati and Litesh Jethwa. Graceful Manipuri by the husband wife duo from Manipur, Dr Sinam Basu and K Monika Devi. Bharata natyam by the disciples of Guru Ragini Chokshi, Pinky Shah and Gunjan Mehrotra. Brilliant Kathak recital by Dr Tina Tambe and her talented daughter Gayatri Tambe. The fourth day festival concludes with vocal Hindustani recital by Rananjay Kulkarni.
The finale day of the festival commences with the commendable percussion music ensemble led by Mridangam Vidwan, Guru Satish Krishnamurthy. Entitled Shiva Stuti by Rudra team that comprises Violin by Krishna Natarajan, Madhusudan Nair on Ghatam and percussion by Vijay Dravid, who is also disciple of Guru Satish Krishnamauthy. Sparkling Bharata Natyam by the disciple of Guru Suman Badami, dancers from Natya Vimarsha Centre,Mumbai, five dancers are Isha Bokey, Padmakshi Srivathsan,Navya Sriram, Ananya Sushil Sawant and Arundhaty Menon , Accomplished Mishra Brothers- Gaurav and Saurav Mishra from Varanasi will delight the audience with their sparkling Kathak performance. Odissi and Bharata Natyam jugalbandi, led by Jit Ghosh, Sunandita Chattopadhya, Somomita Chattopadhya, Karuna Ketan Bhakta and Induniwa Dhawa, Manipuri duet performance and music recital by Junaid Hasan khan from New Delhi.
